The words “Sea Salt” aren’t enough! General sea salt may still contain 2% additives, including sugar – check the labels! Some of the best, unrefined sea salts are Celtic Sea Salt and Himalayan Salt – you will see flecks of colour in the salt, which shows that the minerals are unprocessed and in tact. You can find Celtic and Himalayan salt at all health food stores. Some brands include Salt Earth, Heidi’s, Lotus, Maldon. For seasoning blends look out for Braggs, A.Vogel Herbamare and Artisse.

For non irradiated dried herbs and spices consider the organic bulk buy range from Kombu and Gourmands. Pre packaged Herbs and spices such as Gourmet Organic Herbs and Herbies Spices screaming seeds, available from most health food stores and selected varieties from Happy High Herbs.
