    Various pre-packaged roasted nuts available from the health food stores and supermarkets. Selected roasted nut butters, mainly roasted peanut butter, are also from health food shops. Brands include Organic Road for roasted almond and sunflower, Ceres roasted peanut butter.

    Bellingen Growers markets, Gourmand and Kombu offer freshly ground roasted nut butter on purchase. Selected supermarket organic home brands sell roasted nut butters.

    Fresh organic raw peanuts, pecans, cashews, macadamia nuts, walnuts, and sunflower, pumpkin, sesame and flax seeds in sealed packages (not from bins); organic raw almonds by mail order (as store-bought organic raw almonds have been heat treated). Note: Soak raw nuts and seeds in salted water for 6-8 hours and dry out in a dehydrator or in an oven at a warm setting. Store in air tight containers. Walnuts should be stored in a refrigerator.
